We just received several T460s for testing and we need to build a new image. We reinstall a fresh Windows 7 Pro 64bit, we had no issues with all previous ThinkPads (T450s,T440p/T440s,T430/T430s,T420) using our Win7 ISO. However, with this new T460s it uses all USB3.0 ports and a new format HD, NVMe vs traditional SATA. I had sucessfully created a new ISO with USB3.0 Drivers and the NVMe drivers, during the Win7 installation phase, I can see the SSD. But the problem is I get an error saying Windows cannot be installed to disk. Tried multiple methods and still have issues. This is ISO was made onto a bootable USB, which works on other laptops we have.
I believe it is related to the NVMe drive.. Anyone here sucessfully reinstalled OS on T460s? Lenovo was of no help on this topic

As on August 7, 2014 this product is listed as Windows 8.1 Pro and WQHD (2560 by 1440). I bought this with next day delivery because I only had 48 hours to get it ready to give to someone who was leaving for a year.
I ended up spending hours converting it to windows 8.1 and paid extra for the high resolution that did not come with the computer. I cannot send it back since it is already gone.

Overall Review: The part number is 20A7002QUS and it is searchable to see the exact configuration. I will DEFINITELY search the part number in the future and not take what Newegg says the configuration is.
Probably not buy a preconfigured laptop or computer from Newegg. (I could have gotten a refund but that would only have covered the purchase price and shipping and not the sweat equity involved. It also would not have been ready since the person with the laptop is gone for at least a year.)
