The serial number on each club encodes a complete description of that club, including what the dot color or lie angle of the club is, what the shaft is made of and what qualities it has, how long the club is. If the club has a generic font designating the iron number, then it is most likely a fake, as Ping uses its own, more stylish font. Note the serial number and distinguishing features of the club. Call Ping at (800) 4-PING-FIT (800-474-6434) and provide the details of the club and the manufacturer. I cant say if they have or not, but i just bought a set of eye 2's a few weeks ago and my serial number was six numbers and then a letter. I contacted PING to verify their authenticity and they checked out according to them. If you have any doubts contact PING. Their customer service is second to none.

All Ping clubs manufactured up to 2010 have been manufactured with square grooves. The PING logo is present on the rear of the iron along with the club make, manufacturer Karsten's name and serial number. Ping clubs include: The G10, V2 Rapture, i10, S57, S59, Rhapsody, G5, Zing, Eye 2 and the Eye 2+.

Assuming 'serial number' in this case the MAC address of the device, at a command prompt/shell:

And you will get a list of MAC <-> IP mappings. This will work on both Windows, MacOS and Linux.

You could run these commands though Runtime.exec() and parse the output, but note that the format of the output is different depending on OS.
