This sounds ridiculous, but I bought a nice camera for relatively cheap. It's a SONY HVR-A1J Camera, and it's pretty old. It uses FireWire. I have an on-board FireWire card (Vantec FireWire 800/400). The only problem is, no program is able to get record footage off the camera and save it to my computer. I've tried Movie Studio Platinum 13, Windows Photo Gallery, and HDVSplit. All programs give me errors. HDVSplit was able to record audio (but it was of very low quality), but no video. Does anyone have any solution, or has found a way to upload video to Windows 10 PC through FireWire? I'm a poor boy and can't afford to buy a regular camera that uses USB.
